Jasmine Simpson is a visionary and inspirational leader who has made it her mission to make a difference in the world. Known for stewarding her time, skills, and resources well, Jasmine has become a trusted impact partner for numerous nonprofits throughout the US.
Currently, as founder and CEO of Good Steward Financial Company, LLC, a financial services firm she began in 2018, Jasmine performs full-charge bookkeeping services for small businesses and nonprofits. She assists clients in making better business decisions with reviews of monthly financial reports and helps them mitigate financial risk by analyzing and revising their accounting processes. Jasmine also creates financial budget and forecast models to help clients plan and predict financial performance so that they may also steward their resources well.
Previously, as assistant controller with HAECO Americas, Jasmine maintained the financial records and managed all accounting functions – including general accounting, accounts payable, and customer billing and collections. She also designed and guided financial analyses and provided managerial and technical support for the controller.
Earlier, Jasmine served as a financial analyst with Lincoln Financial Group and assisted with analysis of the annuities segment totaling approximately $5 million in net flows. She then moved to an auditing role where she assisted senior management in implementing improved processes. Her accounting career began with MillerCoors Brewery, where she delivered the company a minimum of $50k in annual cost savings during her tenure.
Jasmine holds both an MS and BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition, she was a founding member of the National Association of Black Accountants, serving as its treasurer when the association began. She also served on the Lincoln Financial Credit Union Supervisory Committee Board.
