  • Click “Banking or Transactions,” then “Banking.”

  • Click the account(s) you want to sync to QuickBooks
  • Click “Enter account type” and choose the correct type (savings, checking, or credit card) from the dropdown menu. This dropdown will only include account types already listed in your QuickBooks chart of accounts.
  • Choose the period of time you want to download transactions from.
  • Click “Connect.”

Once your accounts are synced to QuickBooks, transactions will automatically download from your account to Quickbooks Online.

This step eliminates the need to manually enter or download transactions, making your organization’s cash flow management easier, quicker, and more accurate.

How to Add Donation Platforms to Quickbooks Online

Donation platforms like Stripe, Paypal, and Squarespace allow you to easily take credit card donations on the go, as well as allow your donors to donate completely virtually. 

Sync these apps to your Quickbooks Online to easily provide receipts as well as keep track of your cash flow management.

Here are the basic instructions for adding a donation app to QuickBooks Online:

  • Click “Apps.”
  • Search for “Connect to {app name}” on the “Find apps” tab.
  • Click the app and “Get App Now.”
  • Follow the prompts to log into your account and connect it.

When you add a donation platform, all of your transactions, excluding temporary holds, will be imported to QuickBooks Online under “For Review.” They automatically sync every 3 hours.
